Yes, and in the wonderful world of the WTA, for Grand Slams and Premier Mandatories, winning two mian draw rounds = qualifying and winning one main draw round !
Strangely, only when she was 6-5 up in the tie-break!
Yes, I saw "second serve" and my eyes dropped to her second sertve statistics
Apart from that, yes, it was a piece of cake
Actually, seriously, it was never a match that I thought was anything like absolutely lost. I thought the break at 1 - 4 in the final set in a long game was vital though. * 1 - 5 and I would have very much doubted.

I don't expect anyone to believe this for a moment, but when she was 0-4 down in the 3rd, I thought to myself "she's going to win this, isn't she?" (then told myself off for being stupid!) - the opposite of the usual feeling when a Brit is a break up in the final set of a topsy-turvy match and you find yourself thinking "they're going to find a way to lose this, aren't they?"

I like the WTA policy of big points in the first round of qualifying and first round main draw at the big tournaments - even more so are Premier Mandatories where the top 32 have a 1st round bye. It allows young players climbing the rankings an opportunity to be rewarded for a win against an opponent likely to only be slightly stronger

It's very rewarding yes to give 50 points for a 1st round win against a player outside the top 32 and then onlly 30 further points for a 2nd round win against a seeded top 32 player.
But fair and logical ? Two first round wins at IW and Miami are worth in total 100 points as against 80 points for reaching the 3rd round in one ( taking out a top 32 player ) and losing in the 1st round of the other.
It's interesting in there being generally a really quite different methodology from the ATP.
I do kind of understand the qualifying 1st round reward. Some might call it bribery And that "bribery" is not surely relevant for turning up and trying to win the 1st main draw round of a mandatory.
