What a crazy match this is - 12 breaks in 17 games is odd even by WTA standards. Kostova took the 2nd 6-2 and is now the marginal favourite to win with the bookies.

I managed to sneak a bet at 15-40 down (7/4)
A bet I would've preferred to lose though. I only took it because the odds were so good.
Hard luck, Mel Yes, seemed a rather crazy match. 7 / 4 against Kostova at * 0 - 1 15 - 40 in the final set, considering the players and the fluctuating match does even retrospectively look rather good odds, so we'll let you off taking them

One of the qualities of a good punter is that they are not influenced by a bias to the team/player they support ( Mel in this case ) so SMC has certainly ticked that box. Much better from Mel this week, we will now expect this level of performance week in week out from this moment on.

Feuerstein just saw off Sirotkina, so Katie is the latest player whose upset loss doesn't look too bad. Either that or it's simply evidence that results are very random!
