RE: Week 12 - Challenger - Bath, (Hard) - €42,500

Just thought I would let you guys know, I had a severe heart pain which caused me to hit the deck mid point against willis late last night. It was so painful I couldn't stand up and everyone forced me off and I had to go to hospital. Got discharged early this morning and will be seeing a specialist as soon as possible.
Worrying but just really hoping its not something serious as I shouldn't be having that kind of problem.
Still doesn't feel right as I wait to see my gp tomorrow. Bad times.

Willis got beat.

A.Ward draws fellow qualifier Michael Lammer (WR 336)

Got to be in with a shot there.

What an awful thing to happen, thank goodness you did the sensible thing and are getting it checked out. Incredibly bad luck as well when you've been on such a roll recently. I hope it turns out to be something temporary or at least easily manageable.

I hope everything turns out ok, Fitzy. I don't suppose they would have let you out of hospital if there was a major problem - so I hope it is sorted quickly.

Oh, had managed to miss Fitzy's post earlier.  Yes, like everyone just hope it proves to be nothing at all serious.  Best wishes.

cheers.
I actually wanted to carry on but carl made the official decision with the doctors to force me off. Looking back at it, it was the smart decision. But im a competitor and unless it feels like threatening i dont want to lose.
Even though it was like getting an electric shock through my heart. Maybe i need to learn when to stop.

I should be there a bit more this week, however I've lost my phone so won't be able to put any updates on twitter cry.gif

Hopefully SMC will be there a fair bit as well and there are a line of computers not far from the courts where I can post some results.

Bet 365 was covering the women's qualies today from the main court. Only Brit male interest tomorrow is Coxy v Milts, main court from 1pm

R1:  (WC) Josh Milton WR 360 lost to (WC) Dan Cox WR 290 by 3 & 4 cry  smile

*  Interestingly, Bet365 seems to be covering Courts 1 & 4 today, which is a damned sight more than can be said for the LTA's British tennis Twitter "service"! disbelief

They've now tweeted to the world this and the Brit women's results.  Maybe they read here   smile

The LTA did kindly respond with all the improvements etc they were making and ( in my view ) a few excuses after I complained about the great communications black hole of Loughborough towards the end of last year.  I did mean to get back to them with further thoughts sometime this year.  Maybe after this week  hmm.gif

Good win for Coxy against an opponent who's had his number the last couple of times, But for Milton that's his 6th loss in a row...
