So 3 potential Brits to qualify, Depending on how Willis' plays he could beat Eleskovic, but apparently he was quite lucky to beat Hewitt and also a bit lucky with FItzy's retirement so i feel Eleskovic will win. I also think Goodall will win but Ward will lose, hope all 3 qualify though!

ryder pulled out as well, i had heard he wasn't 100%. Fitzy retired as well.
I do think it is bizarre that Ryderstedt, the Bath Futures winner, was down to play 3 matches on the Saturday. Maybe he wasn't 100%, but the fact that he was down to play 2 matches after a 3 set final maybe didn't help him choose to play. Even if he was fine, that is just well not right in my view to ask that of a futures winner in good form, who would have hope to at least make some mark in the following Challenger event at the same venue
OK, players can often not make challenger quallifying because of futures participation elsewhere.
But c'mon, same venue, both tournaments being organised I presume by much the same folk, and with a fair chance that one or both futures finalists would be in Challenger qualifying, make some better contingency for that event !
Such as maybe that section of qualifying just playing one qualifying match on the Saturday and two on the Sunday. Maybe even hold back a MDWC ( or 2 ) for this scenario, although that would not be popular or arguably that good a move if depriving Brits.
But, anyway well done on your hard fought victory. Now get out on court ready for the first of your 2 qualifying matches. Quite ridiculous in my view !

Wow, SC, you missed that earlier in the FQR matches listed at the end of TMS's thoroughly welcome and comprehensive list of results from qualifying yesterday.
Actually, no, I haven't. However, there usually comes a point when the patience of the instinctive proof-reader in me (I've never been a professional one as such, though my immediate boss at work generally relies on me to spot obvious typing/grammatical/syntactical errors before we send out draft responses etc to government consultations to members for comment...) snaps & I feel the urge to say something, especially where foreign languages/names are concerned, hence (Indy) my, er, earlier restraint on the qualy seeding front.
By the way, your earlier apologies re Eleskovic's first name accepted.
R1:Daniel Cox (WC) WR 323 vs. Josh Milton (WC) WR 358, Winner likely to play Tursunov WR104 R1: Danel Evans (WC) WR 400 vs. Conor Niland (8) WR 135 R1: Daniel Smethurst (WC) WR 450 vs. Ludovic Water WR 303, Winner to play winner of Evo's match.
Qualifiers get Milman WR 222, Brit-Basher Nielsen WR 240 and a Q v Q match.
All in all a pretty good draw for the Brits, could've been a heck of a lot worse and at least we're guranteed a Brit in the last 16.
Evo has earned more points already this year than Niland who is on a 2-7 YTD
Whilst the rest drawing somebody outside the Top 300 is a pretty favourable draw for the strength of this challenger.
H2Hs:
Milton leads Cox 5-3, including 1-0 this year.
Smethurst leads Walter 1-0, having beaten him 5 & 4 in Tipton last year.
Evo leads Niland 1-0, having beaten him 6-2 ret. in Glasgow two years ago.
I believe (E&OE!) that Evo v Niland pits the no. 2 Birmingham-born player in the ATP rankings against the no. 1 Birmingham-born player! No surprises which one isn't playing for GB.
