Was very impressed from what I saw from Dan today. Went walkabout in the 2nd but got it together and really fought hard and was gutsy in the 3rd, had to work very hard to hold serve until he served it out - where my hands were shaking the whole time!
Nice to see someone's taken the responsibilty for flying the Brit tennis flag this week...
Let's ignore Mr Murray for now. But otherwise I think the British flag has been flown pretty well this week, not just by Evo.
Challenger semi ( Evo ), Challenger QF ( Colin ), Challenger L16s ( Alex Ward and Dan Cox , OK by beating Milton ) plus Morgan and Liam reaching future quarter finals.
3 Qualifiers and 2 WCs there and certainly none seeded to be in QFs. Ruddy good week actually !
Anyway, really well done to Evo. I have at times been critical in the past, and it is just really good to see how he has seemingly turned his game round again and things certainly seem on the up

Seeing that result certainly cheered me up after seeing the Muzza one! Just the second Brit to beat Nielsen in 31 attempts since Flembo beat him in July 2006 (Chris Eaton, who has also played Tursunov, of course, being the other one), the first Brit to reach a Challenger singles semi this year, now up to W 11 L 2 this month - and what a recovery from all his trouble this will be if he can keep anything like this kind of form going for a while.
Up to around 311 now, as TMS said, and with the GB no 3 / 'top Dan' spot at stake in the semi.
Well done to the wolf too - did you have any money on it?

I have always thought that Dan Evans was the most talented of the younger guys coming through. hopefully this is the start of a real rise in the rankings. nice to see Cox and Milton coming up as well. liam Broady has promise but remember still only 17
