Wow! Its not often that a British guy can win five consecutive matches. I know that Colin Tweets, but would love for him to write a longer piece onhis recent success.
I'm sure he'll try to play more s ingles if he carries on in this vein, but as has already been said, he has to decide between Challengers and ATP events. Perhaps there is a happy medium? Some ATPs and some Challengers?
I think perhaps my desire for him to turn to singles is motivated more by the poor form of the other British men. But even so, my suggestion initially was time sensitive, if the sport is about making a decent living, fine, but if it's about more than that for Colin, I don't see (from those figures provided) why he wouldn't decide to take one year to solely focus on singles, picking up doubles matches for the money when he can.
He still has enough time on his side to have a go for a year.
From what I understand Colin and his family are not short of money and therefore the risk factor of giving singles a go may not be as high as some think. I would love to see him give it a go but as some of you have already stated that is probably a selfish desire down to the lack of singles success we are having currently.
Even if he sticks with the trend of only entering the singles at events where he's due to be playing doubles anyway, he will get into the qualifying draw for most events with his new ranking.
A bit of a shocking stat - Colin is only the second Brit to reach a Challenger singles QF this year - James Ward in Burnie in January was the other one. Obviously we're hoping for at least one quarter-finalist in Bath this week too.

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
I think Colin has a decent chance tomorrow. As has been said, Go has been beaten by some lowly ranked players tyhis year.
Having a crack at playing more singles is all well and good, but this couldn't be a wholly positive thing for his doubles. I don't think he'd often have to play doubles and on the same day (that would be a nice concern for him to have!) but the mindset is different and more matches may mean more injuries....
SF: (1) Colin Fleming & Ross Hutchins vs (4) Michail Elgin & Alexandre Kudryavtsev (RUS/RUS)
The top-half SF pits the only remaining seeded pairs against one another. They've beaten Elgin & Kudryavtsev before, in straight sets, to take the President's Cup title in Astana late last year, but that ain't gonna make it any easier!
