So much stronger than Tipton - it looks like Dan Cox (the only Bit who was in with a chance of being seeded) didn't make it back from Texas in time, or wanted a rest after two big weeks.
I can't believe poor old Slabba has drawn Mertens in R1 again - he was the only player who took a set off him in Tipton, yet the only opponent who didn't get a ranking point, and there must be a chance the same could happen in Bath too.
To add insult to injury, the two top ranked Brits in the tournament (on last Monday's ranking list, anyway) have drawn each other in R1, with the winner playing the winner of Oli's match. Talking of which, Oli says: "Playing mecir tomorow (the young one ) .... Time to get a big win I feel ..." - of course, he spent the past week in the presence of the player who beat Mecir (the old one LOL) in two grand slam Finals, Ivan Lendl!

Bit stronger line-up than last week in Tipton with no British seeds, though Dan Cox would have been seeded if he had appeared.
Certainly main home interest initially will focus on that bottom quarter :
R1: (WC) GOLDING, Oliver WR 1148 v (8) MECIR, Miloslav (SVK) WR 339 R1: MILTON, Josh WR 358 v BOGDANOVIC, Alex WR 372 R1: (Q) MORGAN, George WR 946 v EVANS, Daniel WR 400 R1: (WC) MARSALEK, James UNR v (2) CERVENAK, Pavol (SVK) WR 241
I see Slabba has drawn Mertens again after his good 3 set effort in Tipton.
I'll be there for most of tomorrow and should be there at some point every day considering it's about a 10 minute walk away. Scores at twitter.com/futuresscores
Alex beat Milton a few years back 1 & 4 in Jersey 09, but i suspect this could be closer, esp as Milton has kicked on and Alex is very short of matches. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Don't you mean the underbog? You don't really think he is though, do you, except in ranking terms? All I'll say is that, yes, I expect it to be a bit closer than it was in 2009.
