Weeks 10/11 - ATP 1000 series: Indian Wells (hard) - doubles

R1:  Marcelo Melo & Bruno Soares (BRA/BRA) vs Andy Murray & Jamie Murray

If the bruvs get past the Brazil nuts, there's a possible encounter with the 6th seeds, Michaël Llodra & Nenad Zimonjic, on the immediate horizon!  They're also in the same quarter of the draw as the Bryans! bleh

They're playing today - 5th on Stadium 2. The 3rd match is almost over and then there's Nole/Tricky v Chela/Monaco to follow in their doubles match.

I reckon the 'bruvs' won't be on until nearly 2am UK time!

Really pleased they won. Jamie has been hopping back and forth across the ocean recently - must take it's toll

Excellent win! clap.gif  And here's a turn-up for the books:

R2:  Andy Murray & Jamie Murray vs John Isner & Sam Querrey (USA/USA)!

Isner & Querrey downed Llodra & Zimonjic by 3-6 6-3 [10-8]! disbelief They followed "the bloody Poles" (4) & Mirnyi & Nestor (2) out of the first-round exit door.  Mirnyi & Nestor were seen  off by Fed & Stan the Man by 1 & 2!  The former world number 1/2s don't seem to be faring too well after going their separate ways! hmm

The Querrey/Isner score is no shock: they're a pretty decent team, and the match was clearly close. It will be interesting to see how the Murrays deal; the fact that AM is such a good returner of serve may help to neutralise one of the Americans' key advantages. The Federer/Wawrinka score is pretty shattering. Guess the Olympics weren't a fluke. Wonder what that team could do if they played more often . . . .

Murray bros  vs  Querrey / Isner are on the OoP for today, 4th on Court 7, so I presume Murray Jnr is fit enough to compete.

As at 8.50 pm, 2nd match on court Berdych vs Kubot men's singles is at 3 - 3 in the first set.  3rd match is a women's doubles.

OMG the boys are starting soon. I'd hoped to 'slip away' before their names appeared. I'm much too tired to stay up and it will only be depressing anyway............. but perhaps I'll just follow a game or two wink.gif

That's great, if you you can manage a final sum up at 1.30 am or whenever that will be good   biggrin
