L16: Fleming / Hutchins v Murray / Skupski

As zoo_tennis puts it, it's like a DC playoff match. (I'd argue that it's a bit more complicated than that, because if Leon's going to include two doubles player, one of them probably needs to be Colin to give him decent singles cover)

Yep, I agree.  Colin has to have that to his advantage.  I was thinking Skupski next in line, but if Colin and Ross can put in a very impressive peformance  hmm.gif

I'm kinda thinking though it might leave more questions unanswered than answered,

Plus, Ken will have just come off a transatlantic flight, so that may be a factor.

So, just being named provisionally in the 4 man team has caused Colin to suffer from the Davis Cup curse  wink

So the scratch pair take it, just goes to prove there is nothing to choose between all our top doubles players. They can mix/match but still end up all being on a par with each other.

Good win for Jamie & Ken. 

QF:  Scott Lipsky & Rajeev Ram (USA/USA) vs Jamie Murray & Ken Skupski

Lipsky & Ram dumped out the third seeds, Erlich & (Andy) Ram, in three sets in the first round!  In fact, the only seeds left are Booty & JJR (1)! disbelief
