Make that *5-1.   Haase seems to be showing no obvious sign of a reaction to his defeat in three sets (& 2½ hours!) at the hands of Andreas Seppi earlier.  In theory, it should have been Seppi back on court now with Igor Zelenay for their first-round encounter with the third seeds, Marc López & Santiago Ventura, not Ken & Robin!

Good wins for all the Brit boys involved in the doubles today. Long may it continue.

Easy peasy (or relatively, i.e. two service breaks to one  )!  They take the second set by 6-4 to set up a semi-final clash with Marin Cilic & Colin's partner from last week in Bergamo, Lovro Zovko!  Those two made short work of Bednarek & Golubev in their QF yesterday, beating them by 0 & 2!

They've lost the second set 6-3 and are currently 4-5* down in the MTB.

I had to log off & leave the office at the end of the first set of Col's & Ross's match.  Don't ask me why, but I had a nasty suspicion that, when I logged on again at home to check the result, I was going to find that they'd ultimately lost.  Very disappointing result.

Make that *4-2!   I hope they can keep this up.  I was expecting Cilic & Zovko to put up more of a fight, especially as Cilic's 3 & 4 win over Berd-Brain last for only about an hour & 21 minutes!  Maybe MC has the singles SF on his mind, which is rather unfair on Zovko...
