Hopefully Marcus can stop that Antal bloke causing any more Duim to British hopes.

In fact hope this week can be generally so much better than last week was for the men's singles guys.

If Marcus wins, it's likely to be Cruciat rather than Eysseric. Eysseric could be the QF opponent.

Marcus will play Cruciat in the second round, if he gets past van der Duim, but there's no danger of Eysseric in the QF:  he was dumped out by 4-6 6-4 5-7 yesterday by that pesky Springbok who beat Jamie B the other week, Ruan Roelofse! disbelief

Not sure what's going on at the LTA, but they've got these results out quickly.

"Dan Smethurst and Alex Ward have both won their second round matches in Antalya. Smethurst beat Jiri Vesely 6-4, 6-0 whilst Ward won 6-3, 7-5 against the world No.364 and fourth seed  Marcin Gawron."
