Continues to do remarkably well, when you consider that Sweeting has played 7 matches against challenger level Brits without dropping a set (Jamie B got 6 games against him twice last year)
That is a good effort. In response to my own facitious comment earlier, I had assumed he had one of those fixed WC's from a rich parent (ala Richard Loughtbourgh sp? Or Robert Dee.) Actually forgot there are an increasing number of youngers going the college route, which seems like a very sensible idea indeed.

I think you mean Adam Lownsbrough ... wonder what happened to him. He once got to hit with Justine Henin, you know!
"There was a shock for Justine Henin-Hardenne during a practice session in Eastbourne while she prepared for the Championships. The Belgian world No 5 hit with Adam Lownsbrough, a British no-hoper who is barely up to county standard. Henin-Hardenne looked surprised as the Briton, who has never won more than five games during his 41 consecutive defeats on the ITF circuit and has lost 6-0, 6-0 on nine occasions, shanked the ball all over Devonshire Park."

Er, just to answer my own question, I did a quick search not expecting to find anything. I do remember noticing a couple of years back reading that Adam got top marks in his coaching exams, but what I didn't know was that he is now Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova's travelling coach, according to her bio on the WTA site at http://www.wtatour.com/player/anastasia-pavlyuchenkova_2257889_13013
"Coached by Jordi Vilaro (at BTT Academy in Barcelona; doesn't travel with her) and Adam Lownsbrough (travels with her); father, Sergey, coaches her in Moscow"
What can one say, but good for him!

It would be interesting to know what has become become of other Brits who didn't quite make it to the top. Miles Kasiri has dropped from view, Mark Hilton, David Sherwood, I'm sure there are many more. I think Mark H became a coach, I don't know where though. Perhaps we could have a "where are they now" thread"?
