Sadly Isaac retired at 6-2 4-1 down apparently, due to an injury sustained in a long match the previous day, but has two more weeks of competition in Kenya to try and land a trophy.

It can't be anything very trivial to force a retirement in a final - here's hoping it mends quickly though.

Maybe though just recognised that he could only aggravate any injury and it was causing him enough trouble that he had little chance of recovering such a position.

Hope so and that is an optimistic look at it, and that he is able to compete in the following two weeks.  Given I presume not that long before he is due to be in action again, it may be though that he even then he will need at least a week off.

Good anyway to see Isaac reaching his first ITF final and I hope he can continue to progress.
