I'm not really familiar with Katie and Mel's coaching situations, though Cav made a change towards the end of last year which did seem to be paying benefits, and I had been looking forward to watch her progress in the early part of this year.

Yes, will be very tough for Katie and Mel to get back to the top 100.  I remember once saying something like if you've been there before so much better chance of getting back there again ( my theory being you have shown once you could do it ) and being challenged on that statement.  And then dammit searching about and finding very very few did get there, fall back and come again, most particularly if they had only been there relatively briefly.

If you were being positive you could say this was proof of major improvement by Heather, considering her opponent beat her easily they played last Autumn.

Pity for Heather 

Foretz Gacon has though had relatively quite a lot of wins and picked up a lot of points in the last 4 months, including beating a couple of top 100 players.  So was certainly a decent opponent for Heather, that would always likely test Heather especially if she wasn't quite at her best.

Nice to see Anne get a good convincing win.
