Impressive comeback win for JoKo 0-6 6-1 6-1, disappointingly though will probably have to play the Impaler( winner last week at Sutton) in the second round. Looks good for 2011 if JoKo can avoid further injuries.
The live-scoring of Joko's match led me to think that she could turn things around even after that first set. Phil went a stage further a put his thoughts in writing - brave man. So glad she prevailed though.
The next round will be a good barometer of her form.

If I was being completely honest, I thought she might win the second but probably lose the third due to lack of match practice, when I wrote that comment.
Mlad is becoming is good barometer of where most of our young women are with their games. I hope she can take a set at least, Mlad hasn't slowed down at all since the Hopman Cup so she might be feeling a little fatigued.

Two very nice wins there. Yakimova bows to JoKo in the 1st round after losing to Naomi in three in Sutton 1st round last week.
Looks like really good persistance by JoKo both in keeping going so well after the apparent frustrations of the first set and then fighting on ( and on ) to get that initial break in the 2nd set before seeing it home extremely well.
Certainly a potential meeting between JoKo and M'Lady should be interesting.

Didn't Heather 'slow her down' a bit at AO
Which is a good barometer of where Heather is compared to the other's right now.
