With the wealth of top juniors playing in the qualies - Bouchard, Putintseva, Zheng - drawing a Q is looking like a tough option for Em... though maybe it's just quite a loaded draw for once in Aus.

Emily lost to Emelyn 6-7(5) 7-6(5) 6-1 on grass at Mildura in 2008. The Aussie's CH was 370 in 2009 and she beat Joss Rae in Woking and took a set off Naomi Broady in Wrexham last July.

The H2H for the R2 match is 1-1, with both winning in the other's country - Emily thrashed her 3 & 1 in Darwin in 2009, but Patterson has improved a lot (currently at a CH) and beat Emily 4 & 3 in Wrexham last year.
