RE: Week 4- Germany F3 $15K- Kaarst - Hard

Solid start to the tournament for Chris but needs to push on to bigger things here to get some points back for the huge fall from his Glasgow title last year that comes off on monday.

Either Eleskovic who is the 6th seed or WC Krawietz for him next and hopefully one being a seed the other a home player, fingers crossed they will put him on center court in the 2nd round. :D

Chris is first up on court 4 at 14.30 (13.30 GMT) and then again with Alex to play doubles after the following match.
Richard is second match on court 2, so about 15.45 (14.45 GMT)

Full OOP for Thursday

It is Eleskovic. I hope Bloomers doesn't find his next opponent too prickly! wink.gif (apologies if only SC gets that ...)

I toyed with the idea of making a remark on those lines when I posted the R2 draw, Steven, but eventually decided against it. wink

I, on the other hand, have no shame biggrin

(Dornbusch = thorny bush in German - yes, I know, very lame ashamed)

I can see I'll have to brush the rust off my French and German (French being the rather naughty expression used by somebody on another thread a day or two ago) if I want to keep on reading here - although I did manage both phrases so far.

My Latin however has just about rusted to dust so nobody please start posting in that without a translation.

To be technically correct (& the pedant in me requires me to point it out! wink ), Dornbusch is just a bog-standard "thornbush", or "briar", or "bramble", rather than a "thorny bush", cf. Moses und der brennende Dornbusch, or "Moses & the burning bush"... nod.gif

R2:  Chris Eaton WR 527 defeated (6) Ervin Eleskovic (SWE) WR 405 by 7-6(8) 6-2 biggrin

He will play the top seed, Henri Kontinen, or Slabba's conqueror, Bastian Trinker, in the QF.
