Yep.  I don't have a problem with these big qualies draws and how many matches they need to win before gaining a point.

I think the whole thing is more for the experience, of playing a bunch of competive matches against where you'll realistcally play more times at a similar level.  Almost like some sort of competitive training camp!  The range of quality of entrants at other futures seem a little more strung out.

If ward wins he pays a WC or LL, he is Dan's Quarter and Alex's half.

How is Carpenter in the MD when he lost in QR3? Surely Hewitt would have been ahead of him?

Hmm, Jack confused me.

What is above is apparently the wrong way round

QR3: CARPENTER, Jack (GBR) 12 beat (wc) CHADWELL, Ian (USA) 6-2 7-6(4)
FQR: CARPENTER, Jack (GBR) 12 beat WEBB, Dane (USA) 6-3 6-0

Good effort Jack!

FQR: HEWITT, Ashley (GBR) lost to KIM, Hyun-Joon (KOR) 6 7-5 6-3

Ashley was unlucky as there were 2 LL in the draw

In fact Ashley is the next in line for an alternate, Jack and Dan play tomorrow. There is no action in the doubles this week.

ITF site still showing the incorrect result for Jack Carpenter, but USTA site has Jack qualifying, which is clearly correct.
