Week 3 - $15k China F2- Mengzhi- Hard

The Cox and Milton combo are back in China again with Cox the 2nd seed and Milton 4th. The boys are in opposite halves of the draw and start with 'on paper' fairly easy couple of rounds. 5th seed, who beat Milton in the final last week is in Josh's quarter.

R32: (4) Josh Milton GBR WR 390 vs. Bumpei Sato JPN WR 837
R32: (2) Dan Cox GBR WR 327 vs. Chuhan Wang CHN (WC) WR 1007

Thank God the Chinese have finally got their act together & started providing tournament information to the ATP, which means (intelligible) PDF draw sheets are available! biggrin

Dan & Josh, unsurprisingly, have teamed up again in the doubles:

R1:  Yu Chan & Feng Xue (CHN/CHN) WR 1774 vs Dan Cox & Josh Milton

If they get past those two, they'll probably have to take on the Chinese top seeds (WR 294) in the QF! eyepopping.gif

Not unexpectedly, the Chinese were too strong:  Dan & Josh lost by 4 & 2. cry

Fucsovics was junior world no. 1 last year while Li is the player Josh thrashed 3 & 0 in the QFs last week.

I'm not one to condone tanking (though it would be nice if the ATP/ITF could find a way of making it less tempting to do it in situations like this), but I hope that's the reason, especially for Milton's retirement.
