I think Lisa is a strong favourite to win this week. On home ground, being played indoors and in good form.

A nice win for Yasmin, again emphasising how unlucky Samantha Murray was to run into her in qualifying. I'd say practically any other draw would have seen Samantha qualify and then very possibly get the point she needs to become ranked.  I did actually rather think she would beat Yasmin, the no 1 qualifying seed, but instead she lost in 3 sets.  It was unfortunate that such an either / or occurred.

Seemed rather curious to me that Samantha never got a WC for here.

My thoughts exactly indiana. I was amazed that Samantha wasn't given a WC for this event

With so many British girls in action at Wrexham this week, the bottom of the T25 table could be changing quite a bit soon.

Currently Jade Windley is British No.20 with 14 points. Below her, things are very close:

Sam Vickers - 11 points from 5 counting events
Francesca Stephenson - 11 from 6 *
Amanda Elliott - 11 from 8 *
Danielle Brown - 10 from 3
Katarina Brown - 10 from 5
Alexandra Walker - 11 from 8 (including 1 point from Glasgow)
Yasmin Clarke - 9 from 6 (including 1 from Glasgow) *
Danieka Borthwick - 10 from 4 (inc 4 from Glasgow) *
Lucy Brown - 10 from 6 (inc 1 from Glasgow and 1 from Wrexham so far) *

Sam Murray isn't ranked yet, but has 9 points from 2 events.

* These players can still gain points in Wrexham so a chance remain or get into the GB Top25

Yes, when I've been adding points to the Best 16 table, I've been noticing the pile-up in the GB 21-30 range and I'll be surprised if I don't have to make at least a couple of changes to the GB T25 table after the AO.

Wow indeed.  Not been really convinced about Naomi's form but definitely wasn't expecting that.

No doubt who's got the bragging rights in the Broady family this week !
