RE: Week 2 Futures - GB F1 ($15k) - Glasgow (Hard)

Chris will drop over 100 places on Monday week, unfortunately. A very disappointing day in Glasgow all round so far. cry.gif

Not necessarily! The rankings don't update during the Oz open so Chris always has the chance of winning Sheffield!

I was maybe a bit unfair to say that Dan's loss was "very disappointing" in that I hadn't quite been concentrating enough on the seedings and the rankings and didn't appreciate how far ahead Sidorenko was.

That said, I think most of us would still say that Dan has much more talent within him then he has managed to display for quite some time.  Just really frustrating.

With Basic being slightly ahead of Chris in the rankings, actually I think I am right in saying no Brit ( nman or woman ) has yet lost today to a lower ranked player so no horrendous losses.

Just you hope for folk to rise to the occasion a bit more on home territory.

Chris's loss to me would be the most unexpected considering last year and the presumably still pretty quick courts.  But even Chris's nearest and dearest wouldn't probably consider him the most reliable player in the world  hmm.gif

Yes, that's all I meant - and I wasn't just talking about Evo - I meant he had chances and Chris had chances but they both went down as have all the Brits playing non-Brits (so far) in R2 of the women's events. No one result was "very disappointing" but together they are.

Yes, you're right - there should have been an "unless he does well in Sheffield" in there.

I was correcting myself about "very disappointing" and just generally making my own personal comments.  You keep out of discussions between me and myself   biggrin

Oops, I read "I" as "It" in your first post.

I really wouldn't want to intervene in one of those catfights between you and yourself biggrin - still, at least if you've only got two split personalities, it's one less than Goran! wink
