RE: AEGON British Tour 2011 thread

Yes there is a thing called a bonus scheme for players outside the team aegon which is where i fall into. When i made the quarters of tipton 15k i should have got 200 pounds i think it is through this system for making it that far. I send of the invoice to the LTA that week and i still have had nothing back, they are supposed to put the money into your bank account.
So not really sure what is going on there.
Just have to keep going really and see when i can take my chances.

It's £250.

Not much compared with the cost I anticipate that you need for your trips at the back end of the year, but worth chasing up.

Anything less than that gets ... £0. Which means basically you have to be or beat a seed to qualify. They've clearly not thought that through either.

Easy for me to say as an observer!!!

won the final today 63 64, capping of a great three weeks.
might try to get a wild card for bournemouth but my flight to france is on the friday of that week the 29th so if i won through i would have to pull out, which would be a nightmare.
going to think it over and speak to leon and paul and see if its an option as i havent entered it.
They give wild cards to lta guys when they dont enter so i wonder if id be allowed one!

Fitzy (seeded 4) has just won yet another British Tour event, this time the warm-up BT for the Futures event in Bournemouth, beating no. 2 seed Nicolas Rosenzweig (FRA) WR 812 3-6 6-3 6-4 in the Final - well done smile.gif

Bloomers was the top seed here, but went out 4 & 1 to Keelan Oakley in his first match, which doesn't bode well for next week!

Excellent - pity he's not playing in Bournemouth next week. Looking forward to Andy participating in ranking point tournaments sometime soon. That's quite a few WCs he's racked up if they allow one per BT win.

Odd that he played in Bournemouth this week but isn't down to play Futures qualifying there this weekend (I hadn't realised he wasn't on the list until your post prompted me to check on ITF!) but there must be a good reason.

hey, yeah four in a row is something.
i get a wild card for everyone i win so ive got 4 in the bank.

i wanted to play the futures on course and think i could have done well, but i would have had to pull out in the quarters so there is no point.

its not like im hiding from the futures because im comfortable winning at british tour level, im just trying to build a nest egg for me to be able to travel on at the back end of the year after i come back from french league.

switched rackets at the start of this week, as well as string, still with prince, but alot different so wasnt expecting great things for this week.
