RE: Week 1 - WTA International ($220K) - Auckland, NZ Hard

Anne's doubles match is underway and so far we've had 3 breaks of serve, with Anne and Eva leading 2-1. Earlier, Sarah lost 6-4 6-3.

From 5-3, Anne and Eva manage to lose the first set 5-7. However, they've just taken the second set 6-4.

Oh, ***** the scoreboard stuck at 6-6  and I thought they'd won when I caught them going off the end of the stream cry

Wow Heather, I think some people will be adjusting their predictions. Good and crushing win against a comparable player in terms of age Vs progress. If she keeps up this form I would be tempted to pick Bally and Heather for the Fed singles. confidence is everything and we know this is something Anne struggles with.

I predict it will be tight against Navarro.

I am really pleased that Heather has got off to a good start this year and the match against CSN is certainly winnable, although I predict CSN in 3.

So, will our Hev get another win (or 2) tonite ? The only time I've watched Carla (on stream) was when she played Anne in Morocco and had to be wheeled off injured, which was awful. Prior to that she was playing impressively and getting the better of Anne I think. I would not put money on Heather beating her but........... here's hoping !!!

The doubles later looks extremely tough against the favourites it seems.

Edit. I've a gut feeling to revise my predition, but I still wouldn't put money on ('cos I never win if I do!!)

the only time ive truly watched a suarez navarro match is when she stunned venus williams at the oz open a couple of years backand she was imperious that day. but i dont think she's on that sort of high at this point in time.
