So who is Fleming playing with this year?

Hutchins as far as I knew unless something has changed.

Hutchins just playing with Lipski here for more chance of getting into the MD or because of some other arrangement ?

I thought he was going to be playing with Hutchins. Maybe he will be later on (or maybe I imagined the whole thing, which isn't impossible)

Edit - I see I didn't imagine it, Indy thought the same thing.

Ha, maybe we just imagine the same things  wink

Naa, it was definitely the plan for this year and I see Fleming / Hutchins entered for Chennai in Week 1

That will always happen...players usually enter 3 or 4 events and then choose the one to play before the withdrawal deadline

Sad to say Cav is out of the Aussie open which means Laura is now 100% certain to be in.
Gutted for Cav must be another injury.

Ah pity.   I thought Cav was just showing some good signs at the end of last year.  Plus the Aussie Open has provided a useful 40 points for getting through a qualifying round the last couple of years and not being able to defend these points this year is going to be an initial rankings fall back this year.

I have always been pretty optmistic that Laura was going to get in anyway.

Ignatik now reached the Q/F in Brazil so hopefully won't bother coming over to Glasgow!

He lost the QF in two tight breakers, supposedly he has hurt his right arm so would he risk coming over here to play Futures???? Let's hope not, give yourself a break!

That's an interesting one, I saw a tweet from GTC to that effect, but no other source for that.
My understanding of the AER is that Laura can only use qualies as her last tournament entitlement for this year. Also she has to my knowledge used up all her WC entitlement as well.
Saying that in her presser at the HC she said she was hoping to get a WC for the doubles so maybe I'm missing something.
The only upside I can see in getting a MDWC apart from the obvious is that it will give her more time to recover from her slight injury. I must say at this stage and the level she is currently playing at I would rather see her try to qualify.
