Hard to see any other progress, getting much higher than 500. Hope current juniors progress faster than expected.
no top 400 players at all, we will have #401, 402, 403, 404, 405, 406 etc
What - not even Andy?
Andy will catch onto the lta's new incentive to play doubles and become a doubles specialist with his brother, where they will meet the bryan's in the 2011 wimbledon final in a match to decide who are the best sibling doubles specialists in the world only to then be beaten to year end number 1 in doubles by Marko and Djorde djokovic however they have decided to change their nationality to british therefore Draper can claim another two top 100 players making the total of 105 top 100 players - The murrays, the djokovic's, and hutchins, the other 100 included in the rise in the top 100 players from 6 to 110 are the top 100 lta mens ranked players in the UK..
I don't think James will be top 100 this year, top 200 and then a slow climb maybe but not top 100. Unless he pulls out a few sterling wins MORE OFTEN. Not just in one week like he and Bloomers did on the grass.
I can't see anyone particularly retiring, purely on their ages. Yeah OK, there might be a couple of early ones but a lot of our players aren't that old. Bloomers may well be the oldest player we have ranked currently and he's only 27!
I think the youngsters like Evans, Cox, Willis and Smethurst need to prove themselves this year and start consolidating or making climbs so that they'll be making the right moves and going in the right direction. If they can't start making headway, they'll flounder too long and end up getting eaten by bears. So to speak. It's not the be all and end all for them, obviously, but unless they show their teeth now, they'll be top 200 at best.
