"Think I may have played one of the worst matches of my life this morning. I expected to be a little rusty, but not quite THAT rusty..."
Rogge-Dietrich lost to Amanda Elliott earlier this year, so if Katie did lose her R1 match, it would be quite embarrassing. Might open the door for Tara (the other seed in the top quarter) though, if she has managed to make it to India after all.

I see what she means:-
R1: OBRIEN, Katie (GBR) 1 181 lost to ROGGE-DIETRICH, Elodie (FRA) 521 2-6 1-6
I'm going to stick my neck out and say Tara didn't make the trip. But how was she in the draw anyway if she wasn't there ?
As for katie less said about that the better, it now explains why she plays so many tournaments each year, clearly somebody that needs to be on the match court on a regular basis, otherwise rust develops very quickly.

That's the shocker to end all shockers!
Though Tara still being in the draw when she never left the UK is also pretty bizarre! And a right pain, since the quarter would have been wide open for her now.
