Naomi's opponent (Jegiolka) somehow managed to come across my tweet about that match (searching for for her own name perhaps, not sure - not quite as surreal as getting caught up in a Wossy retweet the other day, in any case - what a weird and wonderful 'world' twitter is, with the emphasis on the weird!) and tweeted back "@GBtennis I am so sorry that Naomi had to retire !!!" which was very sweet of her (she tweeted similar sentiments to Naomi herself) but Cav hasn't reappeared, so that and her opponent seeming so concerned is a bit worrying. That said, typing/texting tweets probably isn't a good idea with a sore shoulder anyway.
