And ends pretty quickly, with Naomi failing to convert 3 more break points.

Naomi converted just 4 out of 20 break point chances (Haas - 4/6). After 131 minutes of play, lets hope she has something left for the doubles match.

Yes, apart from the BPs, 129 points played on Haas's serve for just one game more compared to just 80 on Naomi's serve so clear where the crucial games were played.

Crucial set in retrospect was clearly that 1st set where she won 2 /11 BPs and the biggest disparity of serve points was.

Anyway, bit disappointing, especially as Naomi no doubt really wanted to earn quite a few points this week and next week before her total of 74 from last year's successes come off in December.

Haas is a decent junior so this was always a potential banana skin, but Naomi in prime form would have won this comfortably.
Next year looks to be a make or break year for Naomi, on the brink of being good enough to break the top 200, but on this form could actually slip down the rankings. Not sure Naomi has the self belief within her to make that breakthrough to the next level, love to be proved wrong.
