It's not working for Ken & Jordan, is it? Fourth seeds they may have been here, but they've just lost to the established pairing of Travis Parrott & Filip Polasek by 2 & 5!

So, after the remaining first-round doubles matches were completed today, Colin & Jamie (3) are the only seeds left standing: the top seeds, Colin's erstwhile partner, Daniele Bracciali, & Igor Zelenay (SVK), having fallen to the ever-dangerous Brian Battistone & Andreas Siljeström (USA/SWE) & the second seeds, Dustin Brown & Rogier Wassen (GER/NED), to the established Czech partnership of Leos Friedl & David Skoch! GBR expects tomorrow, boys. No pressure...
Colin's & Jamie's QF opponents are Russian Marble Man, Michail Elgin, & the Russian top seed in the singles, Teymuraz Gabashvili. Colin, in partnership with Ross Hutchins, beat RMM, in partnership with Alexandre Kudryavtsev, in straight sets in the final of the President's Cup in Astana a couple of weeks ago. Here's hoping for a repeat of that victory...
They didn't have it quite their own way in the second set, being broken to 0 in the seventh game, but eventually wrapped it up by 2 & 3. We'll know whether it's to be Battistone & Siljeström or Bednarek & Zovko (POL/CRO) in the SF by the end of today.

And contrary to my expectations, Colin & Jamie will face Bednarek & Zovko in the semi after they beat Battistone & Siljeström earlier by 6-3 3-6 [10-8]!
Well done, boys. Pol(P)ott (USA/SVK) or the Czech pair, Friedl & Skoch, in the race for the 110 points! F&S currently leading by a break in the first set...
