Anna S, how frustrating and hopefully nothing serious, comfortable for Fitzy and Tara.
Great win for Alex against Emily, I'm pretty sure Emily is not 100% fit but still a career win for the geordie lass.

Joss and Tara should easily make the SFs but Fitzy will have her work cut out, Georges beat her not long ago and has had plenty of good results. Will be a good indicator of progress anyway.

Clearly would expect Tara to reach the semis.

I actually think both Joss and Fitzy may have tough jobs. After her Commonwealth Games mixed doubles exploits, I'm not really sure how well Joss is playing in singles at the moment and Nowak is an 18 yo who appears to have a reasonable record in her first full season of competing as a senior. She saw off the Irish girl, Amy Bowtell, 6 - 1 6 - 1 in R1 before her R2 walkover. I also note interestingly that Nowak beat Georges in qualifying for the Glasgow 25K last month.

I'd say they are both decent opponents and it will be very good if both Joss and Anna come out with victories.

I suppose you could add that Joss is sort of playing on home turf this week, coming from Nottingham and having gone to school in Loughborough, but yes her assignment isn't straightforward.

Me sir, a couple of days ago. I wondered about that and nearly commented. She's on the entry lists for Slovak and Czech 25Ks in the next couple of weeks. Maybe doing a bit of training and practice but just fancied soime doubles. Don't know.
