Really pleased for Coxy here, I said a couple of months ago I felt he could be a player that only performed at home. I am more than happy to be proved wrong. Really hope he can do it tomorrow the extra points are almost as many as he has so far this week. This new ranking system really does make it worthwhile to win the whole thing
Looks like Cox could well end the year as British number 4, something I'm sure a lot of people didn't expect when he dropped to British number 22 back in July. Dan has a perfect 5-0 record in Futures finals (4-0 this year) so hopefully he can continue this winning form. However, Goffin looks like a tough ask, that win over Jamie being a pretty emphatic one
Chettar's win against Burquier today was the win of his life - he hasn't shown form like this ever before, indeed Burquier beat him in straight sets the last time they met. So hopefully Burquier had an off day and Coxy won't find it too tricky.
Irrelevant now, but Chettar beat Desein a few weeks ago, who is a much better player than Burquier.
This win takes Coxy to around 330 in the rankings. Chopping off the points that they'll defend next week - Cox has 130, Bloomers 124, Baker 117, Evans 108.
Regarding AO, the cut fluctuates a lot - it could be 280, or it could be 400. So instead of trying to make it, players should concentrate on trying to be good enough to win matches there.

I disagree a little with these. At the moment based on known points to add and subtract for rankings a week Monday.
Cox will be on 132, i.e. 108 + 27 ( up from 25 last year ) - 3 = 132 currently equivalent to WR 319. Bloomers 124 Evans 123 i.e. 121 + 15 ( from Cardiff last week ) - 7 - 6 = 123 Baker 117
Anyway, great to see Dan get a 5th win in 5 futures finals this year, the second 15K of these and first outside the British Isles

Forgot that Evo reached the finals in Cardiff! I was also under the impression that you get 25 points for winning a 15K. But both have more points than I thought they did, so I am happy.
I personally think Evo will be ahead of Coxy at the end of the year as he's a much better indoors player. But both would much rather be in the top 300 and GB no. 5, instead of 330 and no. 4 at end of the year, I am sure!
