4 more ranking points for Jennifer already - that's how many you get for reaching the FQR of a women't 50K.

As I have mentioned before, out of the countries where you wouldn't really expect draws to be that weak, Canada seems to be the one where relatively easy points are often available in qualifying or in the first round or two of the main draw.

Jennifer is first on court on Monday at 10 am (= 14.00 GMT - the clocks in N America go back a week later than ours) followed by Heather on the same court and Emily on a different court - http://www.lovemeansnothing.ca/sites/default/files/uploads/files/events/canadian_professional/W-C50-CAN-02A-2010-nov1.pdf

Will be fascinating to see how Jennifer does against her fellow brits in Lboro next week. She's played an extremely clever (and doubtless expensive!) game to get herself up the rankings in weak tournaments (though she did score some truly decent wins in Poland earlier, and pushed Broady pretty hard as well) - remains to be seen how she compares to her less canny/less wealthy compatriots. Well, I hope!

Heather won 7-6, 6-4 according to her facebook. She said it was a little closer than she would have liked.

Jennifer must've won as she's on tomorrow's OOP. Unfortunately she plays Marino (1). Well done Jennifer tho :)

Edit: She could of course be an LL, but since Ruckert isn't on the OOP, it seems likely she did win...

Lucky loser or unlucky loser? Oh well, at least Marino should be a bit knackered as she tries to extend her 15-match winning streak!
