How long was the match? I think Alex would be pleased to have a day off tomorrow, matches on three consecutive days must have left him tired after his long layoff. Good result, lets hope he can continue and make some worthwhile points.
He plays tomorrow To be fair, qualies can often mean 3 matches in 2 days so its not too bad for Alex. 4 matches in 4 days was a worthwhile exercise even if he loses considering his layoff. If he wins, there's a good chance of Wednesday off though I'd have thought which may be kinder if he is to go further????
Vagnozzi is enjoying his best year so far, as British_is_Best said, but he is actually almost a year older than the Bogster, who himself is pretty ancient for a Brit still concentrating on singles!
His career record v Brits in singles is 6-1, but the loss was to Meatball on indoor hard in Glasgow 2 years ago, while all of the wins except a 2006 win against Tom Rushby were on clay, including a win against Wardy 2 years ago.
He hasn't played a main draw match off clay since March, though he has played qualifying for all the slams, reaching the FQR at Wimbledon.

Keep going, Count, I can't get the scoreboard to work. . .
It won't, Mad: if you want "live" scores, you'll have to go on to the tournament site & follow the camera trained on the scoreboard on the court shown on the home page!
(4) Johan Brunstrom & Dominic Inglot (SWE/GBR) v Richard Rerankis & Blaz Kavcic (LTU/SLO)
I think that's actually Berankis. Interesting that, now he's playing Challengers, he's suddenly gone from being Ricardas to Richard. Must want to fit in more in an increasingly English-speaking world...! Even more interesting, he's the sixth seed in the singles, but was dumped out today by the German WC, Jan-Lennard Struff, by 6-3 3-6 4-6!
