I said to Alex the other day that his ranking may be low but you can be sure none of the seeds at these indoors challengers would be happy to draw him in rd1.
Very true. Some players probably pay psychologists to remind them of things like that ...

somehow the LTA website have figured our the dubs guys beat Huta Galung but not Boggo
Elsewhere on the men's tennis circuit and Alex Bogdanovic has won on his return from injury at the 30k ATP Challenger in Eckental, Germany.
The 26 year-old, who won through three rounds of qualifying to reach the main draw, defeated the world No.178 Simone Vagnozzi of Italy 6-3, 6-0 and will now face the No.7 seed Jesse Huta Galung of the Netherlands in round two.
Meanwhile in the doubles in Germany Jonathan Marray and Jamie Delgado are through to the semi-finals after a second successive straight sets victory this week.
The British duo defeated Huta Galung and American James Cerretani 6-3, 6-2 on Wednesday and will now play the third seeds from Thailand Sanchai Ratiwatana and Sonchat Ratiwatana.
Still i guess it's better than nothing. right?

QF: (Q) Alex Bogdanovic WR 293 v (Q) Bastian Knittel (GER) WR 236
Knittel took out 2nd seed Kavcic 4 and 4 to reach this stage. On paper this seems like a fantastic chance for Boggo to progress further, assuming the back holds out. Knittel is 27 and having the year of his career, having been as high as 208 and is looking to finish the year inside the top 300 for the first time. So far this week he has come through qualifying as the top seed before beating Cipolla and now Kavcic. He is looking for his 4th challenger SF this year but all of the previous 3 have come on clay, in fact that is where he has spent the majority of this season.
Well done Boggo. Tremendous win. Huta Galung is an odd player. Goes through spells of big losses and then wins events. I do wonder about his motivation sometimes, almost as if he does just enough to maintain a decent challenger ranking.

I'm sure some people out there think the same about Boggo! I'm equally sure that's not all Boggo is trying to do! LOL

Oh, I honestly did misread that at first and did think that it was Boggo being meant and was indeed thinking I can see how some people might think that, but I am sure it isn't true !

Definitely meant Huta Galung. He sometimes has streaks of 8/9/10 defeats in a row with tournament wins dotted around, it just looks odd.
