I've spent two days indoors with a 'flu like virus' and can't make it to the corner shop for a paper. Puny...
To make the comeback from a serious injury , get back training, and make the semis here at the end of the year is a real achievement.
Well done Anne .
Mm, except that's not really how it's gone, i.e. got back from serious injury and then built back to this climax.
Anne actually made a wonderfully encouraging comeback and to her great credit in her second individual tournament back made the tour semis in Memphis eight months ago. Then from maybe about the tour QF defeat in Morocco at the end of April she really didn't have the greatest of times through the summer, seeming maybe to lose confidence a bit in her form at times.
Let's agree though it's great to see her back in better form and let's hope she can now progress on again from here.
Cracking effort from Anne this week, and a real positive going into next season. From my limited experience of following British players, those that end a year well tend to start the next year in the same vein, so I predict 2011 will see Anne back in the top 100 where she belongs. Oh and Vinci won the title so some solace there.
Worry not Indy, I won't have the temerity to voice ill researched opinions again
Sorry, I was genuinely not meaning to sound harsh or smart arsey, I just felt that while you clearly wished to give a positive message it didn't really convey Anne's season.
You just say whatever you want. I don't promise not to have the temerity to sometimes disagree
