Shame, Anne had a couple of break points for a 5-4 lead. Disappointing she couldn't convert them.

Disappointing end to a fine week. I'm perplexed as to why she was unable to win a single game from the top end, given that this is indoors with wind and sun playing no part.

Ah pity Anne couldn't make that great final breakthrough.  Still a very good week.

Radio 5 Live were saying GB hasn't had a WTA tour finalist in 20 years  disbelief.gif

Also, I think I'm right in saying that while it's Anne's 6th tour semi final, Bally despite all her other fine results is yet to reach one tour semi final.

I've spent two days indoors with a 'flu like virus' and can't make it to the corner shop for a paper. Puny...

To make the comeback from a serious injury , get back training,and make the semis
here at the end of the year is a real achievement.
