They were leading 6-1 *2-1 at one stage!  disbelief  The second set eventually went to a tie-break, but they they did get there in the end:  6-1 7-6(3)! smile  They play the top seeds, Marx & Zelenay (GER/SVK), in the QF. pray.gif

I wonder if they are intending playing more together again.

Edit : ah just realised it's the Delgado of the Jamie species playing here, a more recent partner for Jonny.  I'd been thinking it was Jamie Murray, who I see is actually in Tashkent partnering Ross Hutchins ( an interesting partnership in itself ).  Jamie, Jonny, Jamie - no wonder simple folk like me get confused ! )

Wow!  Who'd'a thunk it?

QF:  (1) Philipp Marx & Igor Zelenay (GER/SVK) lost to Jamie Delgado & Jonny Marray by 6-4 7-5 [12-14] biggrin

The American fourth seeds,Scott Lipsky & David Martin, or our old friends, Brian Battistone & Andreas Siljeström (USA/SWE), in the SF... pray.gif

Sadly, the boys couldn't quite keep up their giant-killing:  they lost by 4-6 6-3 [7-10]. cry
