Has any tennis been televised from BBC yet?

Yes - One of the interactive streams has been mostly tennis

It was also on BBC1 for highlights of Mhairi Brown's match with Rogowska

The games as a whole are complaining that a lack of big names have withdrawn due to it being in india and conditions etc but we all no evans isnt there cos there is no clubs etc, had the commonwealth games been held in canada or australia he would be all over it.

 Very unnecessary and unfunny vandenburg.

I could tolerate your insistance to make an overused, and inconsiderate "joke"regarding the past social life of players, when they are remotely in context. However on this occasion you have crossed the line, to raise the issue, completly out of the context of the discussion. I feel obliged to say, (i'm sure on behalf of the majority of readers), that it was funny the first time, but now it has been taken way to far, and i think you should stop. Don't forget that players themselves read this messageboard, so you may be causing offense to reformed individuals.

guys seriously if you got your head out of your own ass it is actually pretty funny, speaking as a forum lurker i would prefer there to be some entertaining posts rather than just "Good win for Cox today" or "I reckon Eaton still has a shot to make the top 150 with his big game", let's just have some fun. also if the players SERIOUSLY read these posts AND take them to heart then they are in the wrong career as professional sportsmen, they need to expect to face some criticism/banter at some point and if they can't deal with that then how on earth can they deal with the pressures of making it on the tour?

Hmm, to put it in your terms, it was fairly clear from discussions in the Nottingham futures thread last month that quite a number of us already had our heads up our own asses at that stage, so it has come as a bit of a surprise that we have to push them even further up a few weeks later.

And personally I'm feelling it is going to come as a real source of pain to have to push my head at all further  no.gif

Anyway at that time quite apart from some variance on the out of order vs banter score I thought there was more agreement on the tedium count.  I appreciate that peoples's idea of humour can markably vary and running jokes can be funny, but this one I am afraid ( apart from the player criticism arguement ) to my mind has just become now more tedious than funnny.

Sorry, Vandenburg, but just saying as I feel.

One of the funniest posts I have ever seen. Quite unintentional on your behalf I imagine.

Were Dan Evans to read Vandenburg's post and be offended then I think he needs to stop playing professional tennis.

Not saying I found Vandenburg's initial post funny, but the reaction it provoked was quite hilarious.

Flembo: "Retired from singles after 1 set. Doubles is focus & fight back would have ruined me & our chances 2nite. Disappointed but right decision."

This sending dubs specialists to play singles thing doesn't really seem to have paid off, does it! Still, I guess with Muzza not playing and Baker desperate for ranking points, the Scots didn't have much choice.

Anyway, as with the women (perhaps not quite as much the case as with the women, come to think of it - we have had two 3-setters and 4 t/bs in the men's singles so far), the real tournament starts in the QFs. Still don't know whether Goodall will play Ebden or Qureshi.
