Colin in particular seemed to enjoy interacting with the crowd and helping to create a great atmosphere (perhaps he felt obliged to after knocking out the home favourites in the previous round!)

I only saw the third set but on balance Colin & Jos seemed to just have the edge, with Anna's the only vulnerable serve - and the only break of the set was secured at the third attempt on her serve.

At least though England have a guaranteed gold or silver from Ross & Ken's great men's doubles win, hope they get the gold.

The men's doubles final is scheduled for 2.30pm BST and will be screened via the BBC website, plus also Freeview in theory from 3.30pm (but they might start earlier given the home involvement)

The Aussies won the first set with a solitary break in game 7 having saved a breakpoint in the previous game. Breakpoints were saved in Ross's opening service game in set 2, and they took advantage of their third breakpoint in game 8 on the Hanley serve, thanks to an inspirational game from Ken, to break and then hold for the set.
