RE: Week 40 - Commonwealth Games, Delhi, India

Both Skupski and Bopanna were stronger on serve with Hutchins and Devvarman being better on return. Devvarman's reluctance to come in off his serve was perhaps the difference, with Hutchins digging himself out of holes by being agressive.

Great stuff from Ross and Ken!!!

In the Final they'll play either Bhupathi/Paes or Hanley/Luczak.
I'm betting it'll be the Indian #1 seeds and the atmosphere in the Final will resemble a bear-pit.
If it IS the Aussies I think the British tennis players will be hoping for revenge!!!

bbc live text doesn't seem to have picked up on it. not that surprised, tennis just doesn't really seem to fit with the games i think.

Very impressive particularly from Rosco in the final set, he was the one on the court that really seized the initiative and said I want this the most.

Luczak and Hanley beat Bhupathi and Paes 6-2 6-2.

I half-expected the result with some dodgy scorelines/results in the last couple of weeks for the Indian pair, but that scoreline is astonishing.

I think I'd rather the English team were playing Indians that Aussies this week!

The Aussies had three of the four singles semi-finalists in both singles competitions - the only two top 4 seeds not to make it that far were the English ones cry.gif

Great result ... all the best for the final! At least you get to see some of the events over there ... of course absolutely nothing of the CWGs is being shown in the US!!!

Oh dear, some things aren't as guaranteed as what folk think  no.gif

But at least England are guaranteed ( really this time ) a bronze.

Well done, Colin & Jos. Going for gold  !    smile

At least though England have a guaranteed gold or silver from Ross & Ken's great men's doubles win, hope they get the gold.

2 silvers please for Mr Hanley  nod.gif
