Yes, realised after I said it ( and he seemed to be receiving rather too much smile ) that there was no TB !

Not sure.  Canda looking best in Group D after 2 days.

But I thought it went strictly by the seeding,  i..e.  winners of group with seed 1 in it would play winners of group with seed 4 in it,  which would mean we played the winners of France's group ( Group A ). And after 2 days anyone could win that group.

I thought that too, so I looked at the rules, which are not very well worded so I'm not totally convinced.

In the sixteen (16) team round robin draw, the seeds shall be nominated and
positioned as follows:
Numbers 1 and 2 shall be placed to groups 1 and 4 respectively.
Numbers 3 and 4 shall be drawn by lot to groups 2 and 3 respectively.
Numbers 5 and 6 shall be drawn by lot to groups 2 and 3 respectively.
Numbers 7 and 8 shall be drawn by lot to groups 1 and 4 respectively.
The remaining eight (8) teams shall be drawn by lot - the first and second
teams drawn to go to group 1, the third and fourth teams drawn to go to group
2 and so on.
On completion of the round robin groups, the four group winners shall
contest the main draw semi-finals and the final. The winner of group 1 shall
be placed at the top of the draw in position 1. The winner of group 4 shall be
placed at the bottom of the draw in position 4. The winner of group 2 shall be
placed in position 2. The winner of group 3 shall be placed in position 3.

I assume that 3 plays 4, but its not totally clear

Hmm, yes bit confusing, but think I now agree with you.

If we read these groups 1, 2, 3 & 4 as the ITF junior website's Groups A, B, C and D respectively then it does appear we play the winners of Group D.

Apparently the fact that seed 1 is in with seed 8, 2 with 7 etc is just luck and was drawn by lot rather than strict seeding.
