Boys & Girls: Smash International Junior Championships, Egypt - Grade 2 (Week 39)

The second Egypt Grade 2 has a stronger entry field, with all 3 of the boys (Toby Martin, Sid Hazarika and Jathan Malik) forced to enter qualifying without success.

Jessica Ren and Laura Deigman have to face the two girls who contested the first Grade 2 final, Jess having been hammered by her opponent last week.

Girls R1 (L32)

(4) Barbara Haas (AUT) v Laura Deigman (GBR)
Viktoriya Tomova (BUL) v (3) Jessica Ren (GBR)
Tristen Z Dewar (USA) v Abbi Melrose (GBR)

As I feared the British challenge in singles is immediately over

Jess at least reached the doubles final, though it ended in a heavy defeat
