That's a great result by Tara, surely on the face of it one of her best ever.
While I have been very inpressed how Tara has really turned her career back on track this year and is now regularly setting new career highs ( as she clearly will again on Monday week even without any Barnstaple points added in as well ) that result did come as a shock to me.
If she can continue at her seeming current rate of improvement it is going to be really good. I'd definitely say she has to do a lot lot more to be seen as joining Laura and Heather, but it's still great to watch another young player performing well and making such progress.

Great win. Tara has had some stellar wins in the past (Daniilidou, Kai-Chen Chang) but now she is finding some greater consistency, which is awesome. I keep on forgetting how young Tara still is, as she left Juniors a lot earlier than some of her peers. ONWARDS!
One thing that's been particularly encouraging about Tara over the last couple of months is that she has consistently scored 12-14 points (hopefully more today, of course!) in her last four tournaments, at three different levels - Wrexham 25K QFs (14 pts), Chiswick 10K WIN (12 pts), Shrewsbury 75K L16 (14 pts) and Helsinki 25K QF (14 pts), whereas in the 18 months from Jan 2009-Jun 2010 (when the promise she had shown in 2008 seemed to have dissipated), she only managed a single double figure points haul, 14 from a 25K QF in Gimcheon in May 2009.
