For some reason Tokyo doesn't show in the drop down options on that scoreboard for me- never mind - SHE WON
If you can't get the dropdown on the live scoreboard to work, this direct link should give you Tokyo scores - it's the same as the other link but with tabno=1 instead of 2.

That really is a very good win. As I indicated earlier, Sevastova doesn't tend to have bad days at the office but consistently wins matches you'ed expect her to.
I also indicated that bad weather might not be to Laura's liking Well if it was windy with rain clearly in the air, then it looks as if her aptitude to rise to the occasion has come through.
Her junior results of late look more and more less to do with such as conditions but more maybe motivational issues. She certainly looked distracted at Wimbledon juniors. Arguably not terribly professional, but as long as she continues to give such evidence of what she can do at her best and on the big stage then all is looking good.
Just realised that this is actually a Premier Mandatory tournament so a nice 20 points for that win, though as per usual with the WTA the first qualifying win is the most valuable pointswise and the 20 will just go up to 30 if she wins her FQR.
Great win for Laura, and due to some light rain they closed the roof, so that answers the question to some extent why Laura was able to play so well when it appeared the windy conditions would be against her. I thought the news that Laura was to split with her current coach could work in several different ways. 1. Play badly hence the original score prediction. 2. Really make a big effort to finish the coaching relationship on a high. 3. Play well to make her seem an even more attractive coaching opportunity for would be coaches.
Of course there could be no impact on her performance from the news, just that she's steadily getting better.
I think the win is even more satisfying in that she needed to turn the match around after conceding a winning position at the start of the second set.
Got a chance tomorrow but again will be the underdog, but thats just the way she likes it.
Excellent win for Laura, much needed to boost her chances of making the Australian Open qualifying.
Play starts at 2.30am BST tomorrow with Bally second on. Laura has to wait for Halep and Flipkens to play (also second on - delayed because the Belgian was playing, and being hammered by, Petrova in Seoul) so will I guess start between 7 and 9 am
