As is possibly clear I was less than totally overwhelmed by his progress to the final and in honesty I did have doubts about whether he would win the final.
This means that having won just 1 Futures singles title in Jan-Mar and 1 in Apr-Jun, the GB men have won 11 in the last 3 months!

We have had an incredible 20 futures finalists since Wimbledon. An amazing stat given our recent history on the mens side of the game. We can't expect to now start winning challengers but, it would be nice to see things move on.......a few more 15k's.....a few more finals abroad........a few matches won at challenger level.
Ah to dare to dream! Next I'll be thinking World Group at Davis Cup
