Lisicki posted on her facebook she's is playing here in memory of her grandmon who died recently...... And her Grandmother would have wanted her to play .....
I've just had a look at the order of play for today, and it makes you wonder how they decide. Is it completely random?
Being in the UK, you would have thought they would cater for the British spectator, and therefore schedule our girls to play one after the other. It starts well with Tara on court 1. However, the next set of matches doesn't involve a British player, but the 3rd set of matches has Heather on C1, Tara/Fran in doubles on C3, and Naomi on C4. Have they not thought about how Wolf will keep up with the scores?
To make matters worse, Naomi is in doubles action on C4 following her singles match (after suitable rest of course).
Surely swapping Naomi's match with the one before it would make so much sense!

Absolutely agree re the scheduling, well of the specific 2 matches you point to, SMC. It is quite inexplicable why Naomi's match isn't swapped round with the one before. It would make sense in every way.
Hofmanova and Kremer who are scheduled 2nd on Court 4 don't have a doubles match. Naomi does, Hello organisers !!
Would love to know the reason for this schedule. I mean there must be some extraneous factor that we're not aware of, right ?

As well as swapping the two mentioned I would swap courts too, so that Naomi followed Tara, therefore ensuring no overlap of singles matches involving the Brits.
It did cross my mind that she might have some injury problems effecting her Delhi participation. She was in pain yesterday but supposedly just cramps. And I got a bit more worried about the tweet saying it was 29 mins ago when she was kinda meant to be playing tennis.
But it is still saying 29 mins ago. I guess you can't take much from that at all, was probably sent quite a time ago. And she would I am sure have said more if it was an injury issue.
Though think she may be at risk of Delhi belly if she ever gets there
Presumably she means "Delhi" (Commonwealth Games), not the cheese counter at Asdas. But Double Gloucester has shot up in price lately...
lol at the food related jokes. But yeah, Heather is down to play for Guernsey at Dehli. Won't be surprised if she follows Phillips Idowu's example and pulls out.
