Week 37 - Futures - Rwanda F1 (10k) - Kigali (clay)

L32: (8) James Feaver WR 752 v Marco Dierckx (BEL) WR 866 (CH 863 a year ago)
L32: Philip Barlow WR 1248 v Motaz Abou el Khair (EGY) WR 929 (CH 618 in 2007)

The winners of these two matches will meet in R2.

James was the runner-up here last year. He beat Philip's opponent 4 & 4 in the semis there and the Egyptian has lost 11 of his 13 matches since then. He also beat Dierckx (who, as you can see from the above, has hardly moved in the rankings over the last 12 months) in Uganda last year but it was 7-5 in the 3rd, so a bit too close for comfort!

A pity, but given the H2H data in the post above, you'd have to fancy James to get to the QFs if he can get past Diercx tomorrow.

So not just no all-Brit R2 ... it's no Brit in R2 cry

A big missed chance for at least a couple of points here.
