Rogowska got revenge for last week unfortunately (though Mel has now picked up 30% of her total 2010 points in the last two weeks, so it has been a very worthwhile trip so far!) but Naomi stepped up to the semi-finalist plate this week:
QF: (3) Naomi Cavaday WR 220 beat (7) Chiaki Okadaue (JPN) WR 269 by 6-3 1-6 6-2 QF: (5) Mel South WR 285 lost to (4) Olivia Rogowska (AUS) WR 223 by 3 & 3
SF: (3) Naomi Cavaday WR 220 v (6) Jessica Moore (AUS) WR 246 (CH 132 in 08) or Victoria Larriere (FRA) WR 430 (= CH)

The Australia 25Ks are certainly proving ( perhaps unexpectedly ) good pickings for Cav and Mel in the last two weeks with a third week coming up next week.
Cav now got a chance to get her second 25K title of the year.
Good stuff from Naomi and I think confirms place back in top 200
She could have done with a win to really confirm it - after allowing for the Shrewsbury 2009 points she will have coming off, her new points total on Monday week would be enough for WR 199/200 this week, so T200 will be touch and go. She can make sure of it with another good week in Alice Springs of course!
