Ah pity.  It looked as if it should be a pretty competitive match and so it appears to have been.  Wrong result though   cry.gif

Tweet from Katie  :  "Despite losing a tough 1 today, I at least feel like I'm close to getting some form back having played pretty rubbish for most of this year!"

First of all what's that about ?  hmm.gif   It's our job to say when players have been playing rubbish, not for them to go and admit it  wink.gif

Seriously, good to hear she is feeling better about her form.  It was my impression that it was coming together a bit more, certainly more than at some stages earlier on in the year.

biggrinbiggrin

It was good to see her sounding more upbeat smile.gif (even if seems odd to say that about a player saying they've been playing pretty rubbish!)

One of the reasons we all love Katie. Whatever the hell went wrong after playing so brilliantly for most of last season is hopefully now being addressed. Don't know if it was new technique or gameplay not bedding in, or the lta allocating her what seems like her 12th coach in 3 years which put her off her stride, but if she's top 200 after the Oz Open next year I think she's salvaged something.

So many points between now and then though, 200 before the year ends. Think we might need to wait for some european indoor events before she picks up points.

Maybe this puts Katie's performance into context.

Mirza beat Amanmuradova (WR 60) 6-4 6-3.
