Wahey - guaranteed finalist
Hope we can get a couple of upsets and get some new people on the rankings.
If you had a "race" starting with points added from July onwards, i.e. Wimbledon on, then this tournament would have the GB nos 4, 5 & 6 in it.
1. A Murray 2140 ( from 5 counting topurnaments ) 2. R Bloomfield 107 ( 2 ) 3. J Ward 68 ( 3 ) 4. D Cox 50 ( 5 ) 5. D Rice 48 ( 6 ) 6. J Milton 47 ( 5 )
Now 150 points would currently put you in the top 300 ( Bloomers is currently WR 296 with 149 points ).
So, basically if any of the Cox, Rice, Milton trio managed their recent rate of success over a full year and the 18 counting tournaments they'ed be around that level.
We know though from experience that many players put together a couple of good tournaments to then have another quiet period. But wouldn't it be great to see one or two of these carry on their recent momentum for a while and indeed build on it, and maybe get to Challenger level within the next year.
Come on Keelan - 1 more win and my club will have a world ranked player
Pity, not to be for Keelan.
And Marfia of Italy, the no 1 qualifying seed that he did so well to beat in FQR goes and gets a LL spot against another qualifier, Matthew James, and win his R1 match.
Sometimes, things just don't seem fair !

A bit of a close one. Maybe a bit tired after his Mexico efforts over the last 2 weeks and then flying back here. Well if so, that should keep him tired
impressive win for Thornley. Don't know much about Marshall Tutu but I'd guess Fitzy is a little gutted right now
I think he was the communist leader of Yugoslavia?
Er no, that was Marshall Tito! If anything, I'd have expected a quip about the first black Anglican Archbishop of Cape Town...!
I have to say, it's made me think of the Yugoslav option every time I've seen it, despite knowing that he was Marshall Tito. Brilliant name for headline writers if he ever gets really good anyway!
Was sorry to see he beat Fitzy though
